$100k in lottery winnings intercepted for past-due child support
From The Tulsa World:
Interceptions of lottery winnings have boosted state child- support coffers by $114,241, said Rollo Redburn, director of administration for the Oklahoma Lottery Commission. The figures were released Wednesday.
Since the state lottery’s inception, the commission has withheld back child support from winners’ prizes.
“I think it is wonderful we are able to use someone’s lottery winnings to help support his or her child,” said Jeff Wagner, a spokesman for the Department of Human Services’ Child Support Enforcement Division.
